Little Kuya’s Transition

This little guy had his fair share of losses in just a few days. The gains were double, being a kuya to twins and spending time with grandma and lolo more, but at this point he would feel the losses more.

August 27, a week earlier than anticipated, Pao and I went to the hospital for assessment with a high likelihood of delivering the twins after. This meant that it would be Lolo and Grandma sleeping with Noah and Ethan for a few nights.

August 30, we wanted to come home the night before but clearance paperworks took time and got discharged in the morning instead. When we came home, we had Noah and Ethan stay at Grandma’s while we settle with the twins at home and fix our kuya gifts before the brothers meet. That night, we were home but Ethan still felt a loss because they still slept with their grandparents while Pao and I slept with the twins.

September 1, our dear and loved ate helper exited from her employment with us. She was God’s grace to us as I went back to work after my maternity leave for Ethan, so she was with us since Ethan can remember.

Every night since all these, this little kuya still cries before going to sleep in a separate room from us and has been extra clingy.

Despite having our hands full, we thank God for His grace that allows us to just be there for our 2 year old in his first major transition in life.

“What do you need pa?” We get this question a lot still and we are grateful. I always say “helper.” Haha! Pray we get a loving and responsible Ate in the next few days. God’s grace has been abundant but we do need prayers as always. πŸ™‚πŸ™πŸ»
