Love
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16
Advent culminates in love—the heart of the Christmas story. God’s love is not passive or conditional. It’s a sacrificial love that sent Jesus to us. This love meets us where we are but doesn’t leave us there. It transforms us, calling us to reflect His love to others. God’s love is not something we earn, but a free gift we are invited to receive. As we experience this incredible love, it overflows, enabling us to love even when it’s difficult.
As we reflect on the gift who is Jesus Himslef, we’re reminded that love is the greatest gift we have received. This same Love is also the greatest gift we can give. This season, may we rest in the knowledge of God’s love and share it generously with others by being God’s love to them.
How can you embody God’s love to someone who needs it today?
Father, thank You for loving us so deeply that You sent Your Son to save us. Help me to be Your love to those around me. Teach me to love as You do. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
