We’ve been privileged to have tried other halibut entrees before, and I must say, Felix‘s Grilled Prawns and Halibut with Stir-fry Vegetables is my favorite thus far.
Halibut needs delicate and careful handling. Without a skilled chef, it can be easily overcooked, making the fish dry. And because it’s usually on the high price range for a fish entree, I usually don’t order halibut unless I’m certain that it will be cooked perfectly. Yesterday’s visit to Felix gave me just that—perfectly cooked halibut. The skin was light and crispy, and the meat was not dry, with its delicious natural flavor not overpowered by seasoning. ❤️
The star of the entree is the halibut, but let me note that the grilled prawns were great too! You can choose either quinoa rice or vegetable barley rice for your complimentary side dish, or substitute the rice with mashed or twice baked potatoes. We had the vegetable barley rice and let me say that it’s a must-try on its own!!!
Felix is located at the ground floor of Greenbelt 5 (near the Catholic church) and is open from 11am to 11pm daily. If you live or work in Makati, you should go visit! Here’s a link to their menu.
