Peace
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom He is pleased!
Luke 2:14
The angels proclaimed peace on earth at Jesus’ birth, but this peace wasn’t just the absence of conflict. It was the deep, restorative peace of God, made possible through Jesus. This peace reconciles us to God and enables us to live in harmony with others.
In a world filled with anxiety and division, God’s peace is a gift that calms our hearts and anchors us. It transcends all understanding that despite circumstances that usually bring about external or internal chaos, our hearts and minds are guarded. We have peace in the pause. We have shalom—nothing missing, nothing broken.
As we prepare for Christmas, we’re reminded that true peace isn’t found in perfect circumstances but in the presence of Christ.
Where do you need God’s peace in your life today? Invite Jesus to that area of life and accept the peace He gives.
Dear Father, thank You for sending Jesus to bring us true peace. Calm my heart when I feel anxious and help me share Your peace with others. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
