Love
We love because He first loved us.
1 John 4:19
Love is at the heart of the Christmas story. God’s love moved Him to send His Son for us, and that same love empowers us to love one another. In marriage, love is not just a feeling—it’s an intentional choice to serve, forgive, and cherish each other daily.
This Advent, let’s reflect on God’s sacrificial love and ask Him to grow that love in us. When we love each other as God loves us, we create a safe and nurturing space where we can both flourish. Love in marriage also becomes a powerful testimony of God’s love and goodness. By loving each other well, we reflect the love of Christ to the world around us.
How can we better show God’s love to each other and those we encounter this week?
God, thank You for loving us so deeply that You sent Jesus. Help us to reflect Your love in our marriage and in the way we treat others. Teach us to love like You love. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
